The best way to engage people is to listen to them, and you can have various ways to do that. Positive reviews can play important part too, having listed and found on all the major review sites, Yelp, UrbanSpoon and Trip Advisor can benefit more as well..

They can have also YouTube channel and photo sharing channel, ideally on a site like Flickr.

You should checkout SinglePlatform. We are a social media and marketing platform specifically for restaurants and bars, and we are already working with thousands of restaurants across the country. We belong on that list, we are a social media platform made specifically for restaurants.

Please feel free to contact me anytime, I would love to discuss more later.

Hey Matt,

In the "Claim Your Brand" section, business owners should do a quick search on http://knowem.com and claim their brand at least on major social media networks, even if they will not be spending much time on them. It's a good way to avoid brand jacking in case your restaurant becomes the hot local joint and someone wants to be a jackass.
